PRIMER G
Mapei Primer G is a synthetic resin-based, very low VOC water-dispersion primer. It consolidates dusty surfaces, ensures uniform water absorption, and improves the bond strength of tile adhesives, self-levelling compounds, and wallpaper glues on gypsum or cement.
Key Features & Technical Data
- Composition: Synthetic resin in water dispersion
- Drying Time: Around 2 hours
- Dilution: Mix 1:1 to 1:3 with water depending on substrate porosity
- Consumption: 0.1 to 0.2 kg/m²
- VOC Emissions: Extremely low (EMICODE EC1)
Common Uses
- Treating gypsum plaster, anhydrite, and drywall panels before laying ceramic tiles
- Priming cement or gypsum surfaces prior to applying self-levelling compounds
- Stabilizing dusty or porous walls before painting or wallpaper application
- Preventing the chemical reaction (ettringite formation) between gypsum sulphates and cement adhesive
