    • A STIHL chain loop is a ready-to-install, continuous loop of saw chain designed to match your chainsaw's bar length, pitch, and gauge. 
      Key Chain Measurements
      To buy or replace a STIHL chain loop, you need three main numbers:
      • Pitch: The distance between three consecutive rivets divided by two (common sizes include 1/4", .325", 3/8", and .404").
      • Gauge: The thickness of the drive link where it fits into the guide bar groove (common sizes are .043", .050", .058", and .063").
      • Drive Link Count: The total number of drive links in the entire loop. You can count these by hand along the bottom of the chain. [1, 2]
